Text Box: HOW CAN YOU HELP US??
Often people express their gratitude for what we do, and offer to help any way they can.  Here’s some things you can do for us!!
¨ Once we announce the registration/deposit fees, send in your reunion deposit or full payment as soon as possible.  We really do greatly appreciate those of you who commit to attending, it makes planning so much easier when we have some idea of how many will be there.  If you must cancel you can receive a full or partial refund depending on when you cancel.  We’ll have dated deadlines for registration and cutoff dates for refunds outlined soon.
¨ Please send us at least one picture of yourself from your time at ZHS/ZAB.  You can easily upload the picture to a private channel on Twango but emailing it to Tess.ZHSheadshots.mail@twango.com . But if you'd like to send prints, we can scan and return them to you.  We will use the pictures for the photo boards at the reunion, website and name tags for those who attend a reunion.  Family pictures, school pictures.. anything you think might be of interest as long as you are in at least one of them!
¨ Any reunion pictures would be great, especially from the 86 or 95 reunions, please send them to Tess.ZHSheadshots.mail@twango.com !

Text Box: Tim Almond, Class of 78, has qualified for his 3rd Ironman World Championship race to be held in Kona Hawaii on 10/13/07!!  For the 2 previous World Championship races, Tim’s performance in qualifying races earned his spot.   This time, he was one of the 50 entrants selected after entering the UK International Lottery along with 1000s of others.  Having dual citizenship (American/British), and at the time living in Glasgow, Scotland, Tim was eligible to enter the lottery.  This lottery which was established so that the ‘common man’ could have a chance to compete in this great race.  But, Tim is far from common.   He is a former US Navy pilot, and at 47, is in excellent physical condition.  Captain Tim currently works for Ryan Airlines and competes in Triathlons around the world when he’s not busy flying to exotic destinations such as Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires and Santiago, Chile!  Last year he was living in Scotland and flying to hotspots all over Europe.   Congratulations and the best of luck Tim!!
The race will air 12/1/07, 4:30pm EST.  For more information on the race go to  http://ironmanlive.com/events/ironman/worldchampionship List of participants:  http://ironmanlive.com/assets/files/races/worldchampionship/2007alpha.htm

Text Box: Jim Laurel, class of 78, has an excellent, ad free site where you can upload and store files of any type.  I’ve been using Twango.com since June 2006 and just love it.  You can set up multiple ‘channels’, public or private and very easily  upload, or email your files directly to the channel.   There’s a lot more to it than I can explain here. Visit the site www.Twango.com !!!  Go to:  http://www.twango.com/twangoteam#jim for more info on Jim.

Text Box: FROM THE ORIGINAL TORO TALK  (The following articles are excerpts from the original Toro Talk.  I have retyped them word for word, so don’t blame me for typos or misspellings.)

NOV 5, 1976     dorm forum            By Donnie Covington

As most of ya’ll have noticed, there has been an increase in the school population. This is mainly attributed to the increased size of the dorm.  With more dormies, most of whom go to school, there is an increase in school population because more are gong to school (huh???).
Well, anyway, to give the daysies and the veteran dormies a chance to find out about us rookie dormies, I’ll give you a rundown on some of the new dormies.
                Here goes…
Seventeen-year-old Suzanne Divoff comes to us from Barcelona, Spain, where she has lived for three years.  She was born in Venezuela and lived there for seven years.  She is a cancer/Gemini, which means she was born on the cups, the exact time the zodiac signs change.  Before living in Barcelona she lived in Berkley Hills, California, also for seven years.  She is a striking beauty at 5’5” and weighs in at 134 claimed lbs.  She has honey blond hair and green eyes.  Asked about the people here at ZHS and ZAB, she replied “I’m having a great time and the people here are great. “
Just for variety I’ll stick in a freshman.  (What’s that??)
Doug Othmer is only a lowly freshman, but, at 150 lbs., not too many people give the six-footer too much hassle.  Fourteen-year old Doug is here on a nine month deployment from Gaeta, Italy, where he has loved and lived for the past 42 months.  Born in the beautiful Portsmouth-Norfolk area, he enjoys all sports.  In music he enjoys ole rock-n-roll!  He has “no comments” on the people here.  Freshman, poor guy.
Now, straight from Sardinia, Italy…Carol Venezia!  Born a Cancer in Hawaii she digs dancing, skiing, swimming and signing in at 11 o’clock…because she is only a sophomore. Her musical tastes are in rock, hard rock and good ole soul!  She’s 5’4” with green eyes and shoulder length hair and weighs 97 lbs.  She likes the people here, so give her a pinch if you see her in the halls!
DenisE Marcurio is finally a senior!  She comes from Morocco overseas, and Colorado in the States.  She likes cooking, exploring, and Bruce Gregg.  For listening pleasures she likes pop and classical (classical?!?).  her favorite singer is Neil Sedaka.  She says she likes the people here especially Bruce Gregg (yech!!), but at 5 foot-one-and a-half I do not know if you can trust her.  I asked her if blondEs really do have more fun. All she did was smile.  I wonder what she meant?
            (Bruce Gregg)
        One last one…
Just for the heck of it I’m gonna stick another sophomore in , namely George Claunch (Claunch??).  He comes from Morocco too.  George was born in North Carolina and has blondE hair and variable eye color(??).  He weighs 125 lbs and stands a total 5’5”.  His hobbies are “sex, money and girls, in that order!”  His favorite music is rock.

December 1976   “What Do You Look for In a Chick” by Pat Turner

Pete B – Liberal, nice personality, and likes parties
Mark H – Likes to party, nice personality, has to be presentable, and above all beautiful
Gary W – has to be nice, she has to act natively to others; she has to be mentally stable to handle any problems that might come up in our relationship
Tony H- Loyalty, love, and nice personality, and looks and understanding
Mike Glass – Nice looking, nice personality and has to be understanding
Rob Stein – A free mind and also a fine figure
Jeff Porretta – Has to be friendly, sweet, cute, lovely, exciting, loveable, pretty, and last but not least, has to have blue eyes
Donnie Covington – To be there when I need her, and for her to understand.
Bruce Gregg – to be able to go out with me and not be embarrassed.
Terry Vaughn – She’s gotta be serious but not too serious.  She has to learn how to take my joking around, She’s gotta be sweet and she’s gotta have some legs.

Text Box: Hi, everyone! I know it has been a while since a newsletter came out, but I’m back in the groove of things with less than a year before a reunion.  So, expect to receive a newsletter every 2 months, until Jan. 2008 when I’ll do a monthly newsletter leading up to the reunion in late June.  If you have something you’d like me to add to a future newsletter, email it to Tess@ZaragozaToros.com.
